About The Department

The department of Hindi was established since the begining of College. Hindi Department is committed to enhance student’s ability to communicate effectively. It enables undergraduates to have better perspective to understand language, literature and multiplicity of cultures. It is combined with references of insightful literary works of various authors, writers and scholars. Students get exposed to the history of literature and various critical theories along with course work which enables them to have better perspective of future. Apart from the academic achievements the department engages in various co-curricular activities. The department annually organized Hindi week during Hindi Diwas to highlight the importance of Hindi language.

OBJECTIVES

• To make students aware about their mother tongue and to develop excellent proficiency in the Hindi language.
• To provide the basic and general information about the Hindi language.
• To impart relevant good quality education to the students.
• Acquire basic language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) in order to communicate with speakers of Hindi language.
• To inculcate the value of Indian Culture.
